Six Network’s Node Validator is a key component of SIX Protocol’s strength. Currently, we have revealed 15 Node Validators which is a significant number and some of them are in the planning process for implementing our SIX product.

SIX Network participated in the Thailand Crypto Expo at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre for the second time from October 6-9, 2022. This event allowed us to share our work and connect with the community by presenting an overview of the SIX Network, including the SIX Token, SIX Protocol, Xclusive Marketplace, past NFT projects, and the latest “NFT Gen 2”.

 

SIX Network Showcasing the world’s first NFT Gen 2 at the booth was the main highlight. And giving away the NFT Gen 2 of “Whale Gate Collection,” in the form of paper wallets to let visitors share the experience of in-real-life use of NFT Gen 2, and they have to complete in-booth missions to earn points embedded in each NFT. These points can be redeemed for premium gifts right away.

 

NFT Gen 2 is the on-chain solution on SIX Protocol, developed by SIX Network. The purpose of creating NFT Gen 2 is to enhance the real utility of the NFT and make businesses able to implement NFT for real-world business activities.

Xclusive Marketplace : the First Multi-Chain Based NFT

At the Thailand Crypto Expo 2022 in October, there were several notable events, including the launch of Xclusive, a multi-chain NFT marketplace led by Finger Labs, Xeno, and SIX Network introduced for the first time in Thailand.

 

Xclusive was launched on August 31, 2022, due to the hot trend of the NFT market in South Korea. As an official partner of Klaytn, SIX Network saw this as an opportunity to expand its business activity, given the significant growth in trading volume on Klaytn at the time.

 

Xclusive is a multi-chain NFT marketplace that supports Klaytn and Ethereum networks and allows NFT trading with various tokens/coins such as SIX, FAVOR, KLAY, ETH, and more.

 

Moreover, Klaytn-based projects accept SIX as a form of payment on Xclusive, making the launch of this NFT marketing an important milestone for SIX Network to expand the use of SIX Token.

Maho Rasop Music Festival :  NFT Ticketing from NFT Gen 2

Bringing NFT to real life is always a goal for SIX Network, and they are working towards implementing NFT Gen 2 at the Maho Rasop Music Festival. TeamMHRS is the first collection of NFT Gen 2 used in ticketing pass for an event in which this time represents an international independent music festival hosted in Thailand during 19-20 November 2022 at ESC Park, Rangsit.

 

The NFT is embedded with information about the ticket pass, privileges for the owners such as VIP Lane, ownership identification, exclusive discounts, etc.

 

Using NFT Gen 2 for ticketing can also help prevent duplicate use, making it suitable for large and small businesses and improving customer relationship experience as well.

Loyalty Reward Program & Privilege Checker for vFINIX Holders

According to a recent announcement, vFINIX holders can claim rewards on loyalty reward program on the second round from 14th December 2022 onward and the next round on January 11, 2023, and February 15, 2023.

From Thailand to the world, the extension phenomenon of “Muay Thai” and “Technology” encourage tourism in Thailand. A newly released NFT collection by the living legend, Mr.Buakaw Bunchamek collaborated with the Tourism Authority of Thailand to create “Buakaw 1 Exclusive Collection x Amazing Thailand”.

 

This exclusive collection will bring NFT holders to travel around Thailand using the “Mirror Potion” (Travel Potion) changing the background of the NFT to places in Thailand from 10 unique attractions.

Hello there SIXers, I’m a writer at SIX Network and today I’d like to talk about the topic, in overview, of blockchain as explained in 2022. Three years ago blockchain was perceived differently from today’s blockchain definition. It changes fast and revolves around the trend of DeFi, NFT, and Web 3.0 during the past years.

 

The core of blockchain can be explained under many circumstances such as perspective from end-users, corporate, and key product managers, just like SIX Protocol that was launched early in 2022.

A blockchain is basically a block tied up together into a long chain. Each block contains digital information and each block relies on the one before. The first working example of blockchain is Bitcoin. It was invented because of the inefficiencies of centralized banking institutions.

 

The specific characteristics of being decentralized make blockchain different and incredibly efficient to use. 

Who runs the blockchain?

Yes, blockchain is decentralized with no custodian, but with no miners there would be no computers running the network and no way to conduct transactions with it. Miners are essential to make the blockchain operational then they are distributed with reward for finding the next open-source block to continue blockchain. This type of algorithm is known as Proof-of-Work (PoW).

 

To this point, this is one example given to you to understand the function of it. And there are several algorithms blockchain uses for running the protocol like: Proof-of-Stake (PoS), Proof-of-Authority (PoA), and Proof-of-History (PoH) for instance.

Storing Blockchain

Continuing with PoW example, the storage conducted by nodes refers to computers storing a copy of the blockchain. It differs from miners where they validate transactions and send back and forth the information for other nodes and miners.

In the booth, there are three stages to get involved using the NFT we give out for free (exclusive for attendees only) in a paper wallet form. First, when visitors come to visit, you are urged to register at the registration point to clarify attendance whether you are whitelisted or a walk-in visitor to claim your Whale Gate NFT here.

Second, you can join our activities to transform the NFT experience into real-life usage that can be used in our booth. By participating in our missions your NFT will be able to stack up “points” and when completed the NFT will transform into another tier as a sign of completion.

And finally, your stacked-up point in the NFT can be used for price redemption at the booth for SIX Network’s premium gift. To redeem, staff will scan to see the points you have and mark it up as used for 1-time usage.

 

To get the big picture, if the NFT has a total of 600 points in it and you need 400 points to redeem a SIX Protocol cap, points will be deducted – marked as used. There you go, now you have joined the fun already along with the experience of using NFT in real life.

What is NFT Gen 2? 

 

By definition, NFT Gen 2 is a Dynamic Data Layer that runs on SIX Protocol, enabling NFTs to match any business needs. 

 

Before we get into the details, we first need to understand that NFTs usually come with utilities, for example, an NFT that has the utility for holders to attend an event. These utilities can be curated by the NFT creator or business partners, which can be many things, such as marking usage value, utilizing a point system, and many more.

 

If we look at the same example of NFT as an access pass to the event, we will see that NFT Gen 2 can fit right in since it can track and trace any NFT usage. To be precise, if that NFT has been used, the dynamic metadata will appear so. This will prevent fraud and enhance the overall quality of each sale on the secondary market since collectors can verify whether the NFT still has unclaimed utilities.

Example of the unique uses of Metadata

Mark Usage Value 

 

One of the most apparent use cases for the NFT Gen 2 is its ability to track and trace the NFT usage, which means that we can now mark the usage value of that NFT. 

 

For example, an NFT can redeem premium dine-in experiences for 3 meals. Usually, we would need to find a way to track the usage of how many times the holder has redeemed the meal since the original Metadata shouldn’t be manipulated. With NFT Gen 2, on the other hand, everyone will be able to see the current status of the NFT utility.

 

Point System 

 

For the first time ever, NFTs holders can participate in any community event or activity and get points distributed through on-chain transactions! It is fascinating to see how NFT Gen 2 can make that happen without manipulating any original metadata. 

 

Mission Setting + Transformation 

 

Another use case of the NFT Gen 2 is for any business to set up missions, such as checkpoints, spending amounts, and any other tailored made activity for holders to join in.
